UTS : RI & Nokia - 5g connected cobots





My experience working in robotics research has equipped me with the skillset to hit the ground running, coming up with innovative solutions to previously unsolved challenges.



Project Overview



This industry collaboration project was centered around demonstrating the applications of 5g in the emerging field of human-robot interaction. By leveraging powerful computing on the edge, with a fast 5g link, mobile robots would benefit from reduced power consumption and theoretically faster processing time.





Contributions and Achievements



  1. Designed, developed and built a robotic beer tap with wireless ROS integration
  2. Integrated beer tap with a 7DOF industrial manipulator to perform autonomous beer pouring
  3. Engaged with stakeholder audience of over 100 at a showcase evening
